Trump’s campaign strategist Amrish Tyagi donates 21K Dettol soaps to prevent coronavirus

Amrish Tyagi an international psephologist and social worker from Ghaziabad has donated Dettol soaps to 21,000 helpless people who are affected due to the ongoing lockdown, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

Tyagi who is also the son of senior JDU leader and National Spokesman K.C.Tyagi handed over these soaps to the District Magistrate of Ghaziabad, Mr. Ajay Shankar Pandey. The district administration after receiving the donated material, distributed it among all the needy people in the urban and suburban areas of the Ghaziabad city.

Tyagi who is an independent psephologist and election strategist along with his close aids Himanshu Sharma and Arun Soam, handed over the packets of 21,000 soaps to the administration, so that these could be distributed judicially in order to help the maximum possible number of poor people, in fighting against the deadly virus.

When asked about why he chose to donate soaps, Tyagi said “Everyone who is capable of helping the countrymen is doing it by donating food packets and other essential items along with a large amount of money into the PM and CM Relief Fund, but I just thought of helping people by providing them with Dettol soaps, so that they start cleaning their hands with immediate effect and prevent themselves from having this infectious disease. It will also help in spreading the message about the significance of cleanliness and maintaining hygiene.”

He had been in the headlines owing to his stint as a strategist in the US presidential election of 2015. He has also served as the Governing Body Chairman of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College affiliated to the University of Delhi.
