Huge investment needed to develop North Eastern States of India: Ninong Ering

New Delhi. Former Central Minister and present MLA from Arunachal Pradesh Ninong Ering addressed ePolicy BootCamp organised by Vision India Foundation. The Boot Camp was attended by more than 130 member delegation from around the World. Addressing the delegates he said “In order to facilitate the development of the seven sisters and one brother, there’s a huge need to invest in the North-Eastern states, as well as implement the Act East and Look East policies,” said Shri Ninong Ering while addressing the cohort on “Facets of Development in the North East”. He was addressing a 130 member delegation of ePolicy BootCamp organized by the Vision India Foundation. Further, he added that Arunachal Pradesh is a bio-diversity hub in addition to being a state rich in culture, heritage. While many sectors are thriving, there’s scope for improvement when it comes to transport and travel. There are numerous opportunities, resources that are yet to be tapped.”

ePolicy BootCamp (ePBC) is a two-week online Bootcamp focussing on India’s public policy & governance, leadership, and nation-building. It is an evolved version of the renowned Indian public policy summer school – Policy BootCamp (PBC). ePBC serves as a launchpad for aspiring public leaders, and policy enthusiasts in various domains. Apart from interaction with more than 25 distinguished guests, participants will be engaged in a number of in-house events during the boot camp which will help them to ideate and work upon various challenges our nation is facing.
Distinguished speakers like Prof R. Vaidyanathan, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat (Minister, Jal Shakti), ASG Vikramjit Banerjee, have addressed the delegation so far, in addition to Shri Ninong Ering. Vandana Shiva (food sovereignty advocate and environmentalist), Shri G Kishan Reddy (MoS, Home Affairs) are some of the eminent personalities who shall address the delegation in the upcoming days.

The 130 member delegation comes from various states of the country and abroad, and includes people from diverse social and educational backgrounds.
